CLASSES AND WHAT TO BRING
What should I bring?
For beginners - everything is provided. You will learn about materials and equipment on the course.
For Improvers - I highly recommend bringing your own paints and brushes, for familiarity and continuity. Paper and any specialist materials are provided.
Day workshops - Paper (supports) and any specialist materials are included but bring your own brushes and paints if you have them,

To get the very most out of your watercolour experience I recommend just THREE high quality brushes and a small good quality palette of paints listed below,

Containing 12 assorted Cotman Water Colour half pans.

Pocket-sized plastic box with integral mixing palette.
Paper, general materials (water pots, palettes etc), accessories and specialist materials are provided. There are always brushes and paints available to use.
Weekly classes are for groups of up to 6 (usually 4). The workshops ( outside in warmer months) are for up to 8 persons.

Do I have to have any experience?
Everyone is welcome. The weekly classes are at a range of levels, please contact me for more information. Whether you're a beginner or more seasoned artist, there is a group to suit you (space permitting).

Is there parking?
Parking is on a gravel forecourt at the front of the property.

Is the space accessible?
There are two steps at the front of the property. The classroom and toilet are both on the ground floor.
Payment
You can pay with a card on-line.
Payment by cheque ( made payable to - Elizabeth Tomkins) or cash.
Payment must be received on or before the start of your course or workshop.

Your place is secured when payment is received.
If you are enrolled on a weekly course we will try and find you a space on another day – for this reason we ask that you inform us if you cannot attend for any reason so that your space can be used. For day workshops, provided you let us know in good time (at least one week before the event), you can transfer your ticket to another workshop.

What is the normal term time throughout the year?
There are 3 seasons – roughly corresponding to school term time.
When do seasons go on sale?
The weekly classes are in blocks of 10 sessions. You can book as soon as a space becomes available 6 - 8 weeks before the start date.
Workshops sell out quickly as spaces are limited - book as soon as you see them listed.

What should I do if I am no longer able to attend after booking?
If you are enrolled on a weekly course we will try and find you a space on another day – for this reason we ask that you inform us if you cannot attend for any reason so that your space can be used. Can I buy a gift voucher for a friend?
Gift vouchers are available in any amount, your voucher can be mailed direct to the recipient (+50p p&p) or collected in person, in a gift card with any message you would like to add. Please email - artinbrittany@gmail.com and send your cheque to Elizabeth Tomkins, 5 Le Validee, 56430 Mauron.

What facilities are there?
A warm indoor workspace, toilet on the same floor and a covered northlight outdoor work area for summer workshops..
How can I find out in advance about offers and on sales?
Join the mailing list and be the first to know about courses and classes with additional offers from some of our favourite suppliers.
Refreshments on site
Tea/coffee is usually served mid morning and mid afternoon as appropriate. There is a complimentary lunch provided for day workshops. Typically this might be salad with quiche, pizza or a bake. There is always a vegetarian option. If you have special dietary requirements or allergies please let us know.
